I started a lifestyle blog now what?

I have that little voice in my head saying: “I don’t have any business starting a blog”, but I also have that loud voice that keeps beckoning on me to do it. So, here I am, writing my first blog post. The little voice is discouraging me probably because realistically I would not consider myself a writer. I mean… I can compose sentences and sometimes use the right words and punctuations, but I would not say I am eloquent and fluent in capturing the minds of readers yet here I am, starting a blog regardless!

I have always believed that starting or doing something new is a challenge and that is part of life. You either challenge yourself or life challenges you. A vast majority of people have this desire to do more and be more than they are, which is why no matter how accomplished a person is, they always strive to do more, to grow, to expand and become more than they are until the end of their earthly lives.

Personally, I cannot recall the last time I was satisfied with who I am and where I am in life. If I think about it seriously, I don't think I have ever been satisfied with either of those things. We are always striving to improve ourselves, to be healthier, to earn more, to accomplish more, to move up in life etc. The list goes on and on.

Question for you, what happens when things like procrastination or fear get in the way of what you want for yourself? What happens when all your wonderful and brilliant ideas wither away because you failed to start that new thing or follow through with that plan? For me, I feel horrible and often consumed by guilt because I failed myself and allowed my dreams to die.

Recently I realised that not all dreams have to die. The dreams that are not attainable or realistic can die but there are some dreams that need CPR and multiple rescue breaths. Those are the dreams that are worth fighting for and believe me, It is okay if you choose the wrong dream to fight for because even if you fail, you will fail knowing that you fought for something you were passionate about.

Sighhh!

If you have listened to my ramblings to this point, I challenge you to join me in reviving those dreams and starting something new today. I believe you can do it, believe in yourself and start now!
